Purpose and procedure

You are invited to take part in a study of perceived consistency between speech, subtitles and 3D motion.

You will complete a setup check followed by six short video judgments. The study takes about eight minutes.

Voluntary participation

Participation is voluntary. You may stop at any time without penalty. Your decision will not affect your grades, studies, employment or relationship with JAIST.

Data and privacy

We record your judgments, confidence, optional diagnostic responses, study code, response timing, playback completion, display language and setup-check responses.

The research response file does not request your name, student ID or email address. Optional comments must not contain personal information.

Risks and questions

This task involves ordinary short videos and audio. Possible inconvenience is limited to mild fatigue or difficulty judging a clip.

Eligibility and consent I am at least 18 years old. I can see the videos and hear spoken audio adequately, with correction if needed. I can understand the English speech and displayed subtitles well enough to complete the task. I have not previously completed this study. I have read and understood the study information above.
