About the study

We want to learn whether a 3D character's movements seem to match the speech and subtitles.

First, you will check that you can hear the sound and review the instructions. Then you will answer questions about six short videos. The whole study takes about 8 minutes.

Taking part is your choice

You do not have to take part. You may stop at any time with no penalty. Your choice will not affect your grades, studies, work or relationship with JAIST.

Data and privacy

We save your answers, how sure you are, any optional details or comments, your study code, how long you spend on each question, whether you watched each video from start to finish and your answers to the sound, language and instruction checks.

We do not ask for your name, student ID or email address. Do not put personal information in optional comments.

The study uses short videos with sound. You may feel a little tired or find some videos hard to answer.

Before you continue I am at least 18 years old. I can see the videos clearly and hear the speech clearly, using glasses, contact lenses or hearing aids if needed. I can understand the English speech and subtitles well enough to finish the study. I have not completed this study before. I have read and understood the study information above.
